Google has informed earlier to users and everyone who is a part of Google that it is going to release new features to the users. One of the features is Gems, which was unveiled at the Google I/O 2024 event. This feature is something similar to OpenAI’s GPTs – brand new instances of ChatGPT that can be designed for a particular use case.
Gems, which is a way, or a tool to create an expert on anything within Gemini for a certain endeavor. The concept behind it is to offer you an AI chat agent that has been specifically planned to assist you as per your requirements. For instance, you can make a vision of a Gem who is a happy coaching figure always encouraging you as he/she has developed a training program specifically for you.
Gems were released last week to Gemini Advanced, Business, and Enterprise users globally.
To help users get started, Google has launched a bunch of premade Gems for different scenarios:
- Learning coach: To assist users in dissecting difficult issues to comprehend to ensure they come up with easy-to-understand topics.
- Brainstormer: For the ability to provide users with the latest theme ideas for a themed party to a gift for a friend’s birthday.
- Career guide: To assist users in identifying the steps for nurturing talent management skills for enhancing the users’ career paths.
- Writing editor: To assist the users in writing using proper grammar rules in addition to proper grammar structures.
- Coding partner: To assist coders enhance the readability of their code as well as help them level up.
Now, Gems have been launched in over 150 countries on both desktop and portable devices in all the available languages in the world.
Currently, only Gemini Advanced, Business, and Enterprise subscribers can access this functionality while Google has confirmed this for mobile and desktop gadgets. The social media giant has declared that the Gems feature will be available to users in 150 countries and some languages.
As for now, users can adjust the settings of Gems individually, but Google will launch the service with ready-made settings like a learning coach for learners that can easily explain the material and a brainstorming tool for people who need ideas. Other premade Gems include – A career guide; A coding partner; And a writing editor for those who need help in any of these areas.
