How the Google Gemini AI side panel works
Gemini in the Gmail side panel was introduced by Google for Androids, iPhones, and the web last to last month, following which Google AI powered by the Gemini 1.5 Pro language model will work on Gmail. Just like a Copilot side panel on Windows which provides users with the access to leverage AI models to get the relevant answers.
Therefore, in Gmail Gemini is situated right on the side panel and will provide prompts to the users immediately when they start their conversation. Also, users get access to ask questions and any relevant query without leaving Gmail. This AI feature ultimately saves time from insisting on writing long emails and threads. Meanwhile, Androids come with benefits for free access to Gemini on the side panel of their Gmail which enables them to continue their drafts without any inconvenience.
