The wait is going to be over, YouTube Music is reportedly rolling out its ‘Sound Search’ feature which lets you able to ‘Play, sing or hum the song’ to search it.
According to the previous report we shared in our article when this AI feature going through testing, now with the Monday announcement of YouTube Music this feature is going to become available officially name as ‘Sound Search’. The feature is run through on version 7.10 and a server-side update progresses towards its availability in Android and iOS again. Therefore, it provides access to listen to a live song just ‘try singing the lyrics or humming the melody’.
Moving towards the way of its access, ‘tap the magnifying glass icon in the top right corner and you will notice a new waveform icon next to the microphone’. Therefore, A vibrant search page in YouTube Music will allows you to ’Play, sing or hum the song’. Interestingly the AI has enabled a fast process ‘to match the sound to the original recording’.
In addition to this, the recognition takes place very speedily, as a result, the page will display the cover featuring the song name, artist, album, year, and download status, and also shows buttons to Play or Save to your playlist library. The standard overflow menu is also available for everything else.
However for taking exist from the screen you can go to the top-left corner or perform another search at the bottom. The report shows that YTM started testing this capability in March, however, Google Play Music offered something like this update a long time ago.
The enhancement of ‘Sound Search’ is a server-side update that will provided with version 7.02 of YouTube Music for Android, and for iOS it has not been rolled out yet.
