WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.11.17 update is now live and it is found that WhatsApp is developing several sets of AI features within the application such as creating profile pictures using AI. Wabetinfo gets in testing beta to show this feature.
WhatsApp is working on a feature to quickly create AI-powered images
WhatsApp seems to help its users communicate more thoughtfully and is handy, especially for those who do not know which picture to choose. While this feature is still under construction, and its availability is up for debate, it appears that WhatsApp is keen on adding more features based on AI, meant to improve the messaging service. This was found in the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.12.4 version released on Google Play Store.
Chat shortcuts through AI
WhatsApp is toying with the idea of including a new shortcut in the chat attachment sheet that will enable users to create an image using AI in a future update. This feature will utilize Meta AI, an advanced AI that can reason, interpret instructions, visualize concepts, and work on sophisticated issues. It should be mentioned that Meta AI is still limited to some countries and users only, so this shortcut will be available only to those who have Meta AI available to them at the moment and can potentially expand the availability in future updates.
Will this shortcut AI photo creation benefit users?
A shortcut to build AI photos from a prompt quickly has several benefits in creating such photos, as it may take much time and effort, especially for those who actively use images in their communications. It can also foster creativity since users can generate personalized and unique images within a few moments, which can inspire imagination in certain contexts. At the moment, users can create images right in the Meta AI chat or using a command in the group chat.
The shortcut will be shown right on the chat attachment menu to enhance the usability of this feature with further upcoming updates. As of now, there is a feature in development that will generate images via AI in a relatively short space of time and this is slated for a future update. We shall post another article as soon as we find other information about this feature.
