Apple saved AI for the final day of WWDC 2024 where it unveiled a plethora of new AI tools and features that will be coming to Apple devices. One such upcoming feature is Genmoji, an emoji creating AI and it appears that Google Pixel 9 might come with a similar feature.
Pixel 9 AI Generated Stickers And Emoji
According to an Android Authority report, Google is currently working on a Creative Assistant app that is expected to launch alongside the Pixel 9 this year. It is said to bring AI capabilities which might allow the users to create custom stickers. It speculates that it could also provide the same kind of functionality with emoji.
It is important to note that the Pixel 9 series will not launch until October, however, there are many leaked data about four models. We have already witnessed live photos and renders of the devices along with the wallpapers that Google created for them. What we haven’t heard much about, however, is the novel software that Google plans to unveil with the Pixel 9 series.
Aside from speculations about the new device’s new AI assistant named Pixie and an Adaptive Touch feature, it is still uncertain what other smart elements Google will introduce in Pixel 9 series. That list includes Creative Assistant, which, while we have not seen it, we imagine might be introduced in the Pixel 9 series since it is the sort of feature Google would not launch in a mid-cycle update.
The Creative Assistant Application
The new Creative Assistant app is expected to be Pixel-only, and its mention was allegedly found in the binary associated with TPU in the Tensor chip. Furthermore, it is said to also be mentioned in the Google Markup app that came with the Android 15 Beta 3.
You may also be able to simply paste a sticker into a chat, but there’s no evidence of that here – rather, Creative Assistant in its current form seems to use Google’s Markup app, which is involved in the screenshot editing and image annotations.
