The new Google Pixel 9 Pro will come with a free one-year Gemini Advanced subscription according to a report. This Pixel 9 series includes the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro fold and is expected to be launched on the 13th of August during the annual Made by Google event.
Not much is known about the devices but a new report says that the Pro models might come with the features of the Gemini Advanced subscription such as the 2TB cloud storage.
In a report via TheSpAndroid, ‘code detective’ @AssembleDebug did discover that Google may well be including a free one-year subscription to Gemini Advanced with the Pixel 9 series. As a point of comparison, Gemini Advanced was initially released in February of 2024 and is approximately $20 per month.
It also opens up Account holders to Gemini’s 1.5 Professional with a context window of one million tokens; first access to new and premium features; the ability to edit and run Python code within the tool
So Will Pixel 9 Series Be Driven By AI
Still, the finer details about the Gemini Advanced perk are yet to be announced but it looks like Google will sell the Pixel 9 series with its AI frills.
In this case, they are in doubt if Google may be planning to unlock some of the on-device AI features that are only exclusive to Gemini Advanced which then requires the user to pay for the advanced model’s subscription.
Subscribers will also be allowed to use some of the new and experimental places before others are allowed. Now, the Gemini Advanced subscription in India costs Rs. 1,950 a month.
European leaks have revealed that the Pixel 9 Pro alongside the Pixel Fold 2/Pixel 9 Pro Fold would likely be in the same ballpark as the Pixel 8 Pro and the Pixel Fold 1 prices, and the basic Pixel 9 could be anywhere between €100-€140 (about $108 – $152) more expensive than the Pixel 8.
