OpenAI has unveiled Sora Turbo as its new version of the greater, faster AI video generation model. Open to providing videos from text input, Sora Turbo extends previous research by OpenAI on applying AI in simulating the virtual world and generating video. Just as available at sora.com, this is being deployed to ChatGPT Plus and ChatGPT Pro users as a standalone tool.
The new text-to-video rivals have emerged: Make-A-Video from Meta, Imagen Video from Google, and BMW Stable Video Diffusion from Stability AI. This move shows OpenAI’s commitment to navigating this relatively still new field at the front lines.
What can you do with Sora?
Standard users will be able to create videos in up to 1080p, up to 20 seconds in duration, and widescreen, vertical, or square formats. You can upload your content for length, remix, blend, or create new content from text.
Created new pop-up interfaces to make it easier to ask Sora questions through text, images, and video. Our storyboard tool allows users to set input for each frame. It also has popular and latest feeds that are continuously fed with creations by the community.
Sora is accessible for free as part of your Plus library card package. Up to 50 standard-quality or fewer high-quality videos with a resolution of 720p can be made per month.
Sora AI Cost and Availability
For the ones who specifically want more out of Sora, the Sora Pro offers 10x usage, a higher resolution, and a longer duration. There are some specific aspects regarding the price that we are still developing for various types of customers, and we expect they should be ready towards the beginning of next year.
Sora is not included with ChatGPT Team, Enterprise, and Edu. There is also nothing currently available for under 18s. Currently, Sora is available to users any place ChatGPT is, excluding the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and the European Economic Area. Further access remains limited, and OpenAI stated that it will increase it in the following months.
