Nothing is beginning to release the Nothing OS 3.0 stable update with Android 15 for the Nothing Phone 2 and the Nothing Phone 2a. In an official blog post, Nothing OS 3.0 comes with a new native gallery app, but one designed for photos and videos only. It accompanies certain additional options, such as filters, markups, and guidelines resulting from the app’s suggestions.
Originally built as part of Nothing’s Nothing OS or NOS, it said the latest version, 3.0, adds new features and improvements to enhance user experience and set the stage for even more adaptable and communicable user experiences.
Nothing OS 3.0 Stable Update Features
The update provides the latest on this year’s Android 15. It also adds additional features such as widgets shared on the new lock screen. Widgets Friend Connect lets friends comment on your shared widgets. There are also some new widgets available, such as a countdown widget to help you keep on schedule.
The new native gallery adds features such as an improved search function and the enhancement of additional editing tools such as filters, markup, and suggestions. New options for interaction with friends and family on the redesigned lock screen are introduced by Shared Widgets.
Apart from revamped productivity widgets such as the new Countdown Widget that helps you stay on top of your schedule, the Smart Drawer is equipped with artificial intelligence and will be able to sort apps into folders for easy usage.
The lock screen clock and customization options are new clock styles. It gives you the option either to have more widgets on the lock screen or fewer widgets and a fashionable clock.
When the new native gallery app arrives, it will come with enhancements in the search function along with new additional tools such as filters, markup, & suggestions. Shared Widgets (in beta) introduces new ways of interaction with Friends & Contacts displayed on the redesigned, fully customizable Lock Screen.
How to update Nothing 3.0?
Those with an eligible device to try the latest Nothing OS 3.0 need to know that the process of getting your phone updated is easy. Make sure that your phone is connected over a stable Wi-Fi connection, and its battery charge should be not less than 50%.
- Go to the settings app.
- Select the System option.
- Choose Software Update.
- Locate the update.
- Tap on the Download and Install option.
Availability
The Nothing OS 3.0 is being released in a stable build, and Nothing Phone (2) and Phone (2a) are set to receive this update staggered through the year-end. The Phone (1), Phone (2a) Plus, CMF Phone (1), and will be receiving this update by early 2025.
