OpenAI in October reported that it is possible to download an early version of the ChatGPT in the form of a Windows desktop application. The new ChatGPT Windows application was first released only for ChatGPT Plus, Team, Enterprise, and Edu clients. C-GPT for Windows has just been released for public use, and OpenAI is proud to make the announcement today.
ChatGPT Application On Windows
It can be activated with the Alt + Space keyboard shortcut, which makes it easier to launch than ChatGPT because the app works in a window and so is easier to pick up from where you left off. There is also connectivity to the recent ChatGPT search included in the application. Windows users can now experience Advanced Voice Mode to chat with your computer and get hands-free answers while you work.
- Moreover, the Windows C-GPT app can screenshot, and users have a way of feeding GPT the screenshots apart from the upload photo function. Subscribers can also set a hotkey that loses the companion window to them.
- Chat with your computer in real time and receive advice and answers while you are typing your hands.
- This early beta can function with developer tools, and this means that when you pose a question to C-GPT, it will give you a quicker and more contextualized response.
- Intel Swag Bot is available for testing now for C-GPT Plus and Team users. Edu and Enterprise will be available in the next few weeks.
In order to use the C-GPT Windows app, you must have either the Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system on your machine.
ChatGPT Application on macOS
For Apple users, OpenAI is also working on enhancing the C-GPT application for all macOS users. Currently it is available to Plus users. It will roll out with Enterprise and Edu users in coming weeks. The big improvement to macOS, OpenAI is giving the app the ability to read computer code from early beta.
- Users can download the ChatGPT app for Windows/MacOS.
