With One UI 7 on the horizon, it appears the company is preparing a big update filled with many exciting features. As the One UI 7 beta chatter continues to gain momentum, an exciting new feature leaked hints at Samsung borrowing heavily from Apple.
Galaxy AI Notification Summary Feature
As cited by @chunvn8888, the Galaxy phones with Galaxy AI will get a notification summary feature. It will be a part of the ever-growing suite of services within Samsung AI which would include, but are not limited to tools such as Live Translate.
Still, it appears that full suite takers which are simply the Galaxy devices will reap the feature as we currently see in Samsung’s newest flagship phones. Older gadgets or gadgets that would be mid-end when produced could not notice this.
The AI notifications in One UI 7 feature stands for intelligent notifications that minimize the user’s time spent and focus on essential data pieces. This Galaxy AI feature appears identical to what Apple has recently introduced as the notification summary which has earned a lot of user acclaim due to its effectiveness in filtering through notifications. One UI 7 is said to also feature future additions such as homework support for Circle in Search and improved parenting controls.
The feature is still in trials, but it is reasonable to believe that it will be integrated into One UI 7 final release version. Based on the leaks, such functionality can be implemented only on Samsung flagships and not on midrange devices.
The accompanying Galaxy AI application does have a few summarization features, but these work only for text in Samsung Notes. It doesn’t currently summarize texts or notifications, so the rollout of this feature would make any compatible Samsung phone that much more appealing.
As we are already witnessing on Apple Intelligence, the possibilities of notification summaries are mighty impressive. Some of these may come to Samsung phones which is pretty enticing.
