Gemini Nano is the only product with a Call Notes feature that is integrated into the Pixel 9 series. This functionality enables users to make voice calls, record such calls, and then create a summary of the conversation using Gemini Nano.
For the record and summarization feature, we would like to point out that users have to turn on the feature themselves every time they want to record every call. Furthermore, the other party on the call will get a pop-up that says ‘Google Call Notes is on.’ The call is recorded,” so they know that the specific conversation they are participating in is being recorded.
2. Voice Composer
Magic Compose is a part of Gemini Nano that is built into Google Messages and should invent the proposed responses based on the last 20 sent and received messages in the conversation. It offers different tones like formal, excited, chill, engaging, friendly, and even Shakespeare, and these tones help users control the AI-generated responses.
3. Pixel Recorder
The Pixel Recorder application employs the Gemini Nano framework to generate summaries of corresponding voice records using artificial intelligence. The recently released Pixel 9 series includes an improved model to transcribe recordings that lasts over 30 minutes.
4. Smart Reply Gboard
Google has further included Gemini Nano into Gboard to build ‘Smart Replies’ with features of ‘Conversational Awareness’. Specifically, artificial intelligence lies at the core of the Google keyboard, as it suggests the response based on the running conversation. This feature works with Kakao Talk, WhatsApp, and Line; however, it is presently available only for US English.
5. Pixel Screenshots
The Pixel Screenshot feature has been introduced first with the Pixel 9 series. To do this, Gemini Nano is employed to capture and recognize specific information from the previous screenshots. It also holds a search bar to allow users to search for any detail, such as a saved recipe, a tested remedy, or the address of a friend saved in the cell phone address book.
