Nothing has introduced the Nothing OS 3.0 launch timeline based on Android 15 with minimal modifications out of which it has its gallery application. But what’s even better is that this Nothing OS 3.0 update with Android 15 will be available for all Nothing phones. Nothing initially will release this update to Nothing Phone 2a and Nothing Phone 2a Plus models only.
Nothing OS 3.0 Launch Timeline
After some time, it will introduce the update to Nothing Phone 2 series and Nothing Phone 1. Nothing OS 3.0 open beta will become available from the start of October, the same update with the stable version is to be released in December this year.

Major features of Nothing OS 3.0 Update
A new Countdown Widget came up and there is a major update to the application’s photo processing speed, image segmentation, and future applications of AI including upcoming upscale in the image gallery. Among the features, shared widgets that help in contacting friends and family; give the OS a social aspect. Announced for release with an open beta starting sometime this month with full open beta to be released in December this year.
Other new things coming with Nothing OS 3.0 include new widgets, and a new heavily customizable lock screen with new shortcuts, widgets, and clock faces. The fast settings have also received a slight overhaul, becoming much more customizable this time around this is reminiscent of the iOS 18 control center.
Furthermore, the OS presents a new and innovative application drawer, akin to Apple’s app shelf; it automatically arranges the apps, and, based on artificial intelligence, highlights the most frequently utilized ones at the top of a particular interface.
Another of the primary innovations that can be seen with OS 3.0 is Nothing’s own photo app, called, rather unimaginatively, Nothing Gallery. According to the company, it loads a photo from the camera 1.4 seconds faster than Google Photos. The app also has a feature of image segmentation by the use of artificial intelligence technology to help enlarge objects within photos.
