WhatsApp Voice Chat mode

WhatsApp is among the best messaging applications, and in order to maintain this it continues developing new options. As per the sources, Meta’s messaging application is planning to integrate a new Voice Chat Mode for the Meta AI in-app chatbot.

Soon, the new AI feature is to be introduced and you will be able to communicate to the chatbot through two-way voice. So in layman’s language, you are live chatting with the help of artificial intelligence on WhatsApp. According to WABetaInfo, the Voice Chat Mode feature was recently found in WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.24.18.18.

The instant messaging platform is also planning to grant the freedom to choose the voice of Meta AI to the users. Further, WhatsApp is also considering initiating the chatbot with already activated voice chat mode through the strcpy, Alternatively, hellip; a floating action button, is located in the chats list.

The new feature would also provide a typing-free environment means the conversation will only be on voice commands and users would have the option to enable the voice chat mode. Further, the users could also interrupt the voice chat by leaving the chat or by switching to the text version. When it is not active, the is a small icon in the status bar provided by Android OS at the top of the screen that will inform the users whether the Meta AI has ceased listening.

How to use the Voice Chat Mode feature in WhatsApp?

The voice chat mode will also be togglable by the WhatsApp users and once toggled on, the chatbot will be able to continuously listen to the user’s conversations and will only stop by the user leaves the chat or changes the mode to chat mode. Users need to be able to find out without a doubt that Meta AI’s voice chat mode is off, and they can do that by noticing that an icon that is presented in the chat section is gone from the application when they step out of the conversation.

Here are the screenshots of the Voice Chat Mode feature interface which is annexed by WABetaInfo. If you right-click the Meta AI button above the New Chat icon and tap on it, there is an option that says Voice Chat Mode.
