There are reports that Google might have shipped a sneaky update to its Gemini 1. 5 has developed the Pro artificial intelligence (AI) model recently. The AI model, which can still only be found through the Gemini Advanced tier, could have been given a performance boost on August 2, according to the tech giant. Although the company did not disclose the amount of detail on these enhancements, it did state that the responses of the AI model will be able to better aid the users and even handle more detailed questions.
In the Gemini’s new release notes it embedded an entry dated August 2 and captioned ‘Gemini 1.5 Pro in Gemini Advanced just become more capable’. Whether it is a new entry or a date glitch by Google, based on the release notes, it seems that the company updated the AI model recently.
From the release note, it came to my understanding that the changes in the AI model are aimed at improving its responses, more particularly when the inputs are given per reasoning and coding. This means users will be able to pose questions that involve sequences and forms of thinking that need specialist knowledge. The company also explains that the Gemini 1. 5 Pro AI model can also analyze and generate and in general can write far more accurate code and can now also do work.
Newer features; Newer user experience
Google said this version of the Gemini 1 will feature a 7-inch LCD screen, a 1 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, and 4 GB of storage space. Gemini 1.5 Pro was built based on users’ responses and the company model training. Stating that the new version is more capable, it noted, “We believe in rapid iteration, and bringing the best of Gemini to the world.” It also said in the post that in the future, more features are expected to be planned for Gemini Advanced.
Google said this version of the Gemini 1.5 Pro looked very similar to its big PC sibling the Chromebook Pixel or the MacBook Air. Gemini 1.5 Pro was designed according to the results of the users’ surveys and the data obtained from the internal training of the models.
Google stated that this build of Gemini 1. 5 Pro was built following the feedback received from the end-users and following the company’s internal model training. Listing out the new version as the new and improved version of Gemini, it also stated “We firmly believe in moving at the speed of light and delivering the best of Gemini to the world. ” The post also said that more features are being planned for Gemini Advanced shortly.
Notably, the Gemini 1. 5 Pro AI model can only be obtained with the Gemini Advanced which is under the Google One AI subscription. In India, the company offers the subscription service after the first month of free trial subscription at the cost of Rs. 1950/- per month.
No technical information was published by the company. Since the AI model itself has been changed it could mean the structural design, and thus the layout as well, of how the system gathers data as well as how it analyzes it has been altered. Such enhancements do not change the dataset that is used in big data analytics. Nevertheless, it is impossible to say something until Google itself declares those changes.
