Pixel Weather App

Google has uploaded the latest version of the Pixel Weather app to the Play Store. Google describes the design of the app as with a blue background, being sun and cloud textured on the icon. Further Google states that the app has “real-time weather, forecasts and other details for your current or saved locations”, Without any Google Account you can directly sign in to sync the saved locations across the devices or also able to use the Pixel weather app.

Pixel Weather app will feature notifications, a ‘weather map’, and AI summaries

Therefore, permission was asked to enable the notification for ‘weather forecasting’ A notification will be received every evening that forecasts the weather of the current location and a ‘precipitation notification’ that displays precipitation of rain and snow is arriving soon, however, the app doesn’t feature about alerts right now and offers two major notifications only.

Therefore, when you are viewing the weather of a city you can rearrange all the cards except for the Hourly forecast. Moreover, widgets are also a part of the Pixel Weather app and they only display on the home screen but do not open the app directly.

Furthermore, the UV index card uses Material You’s scallop shape, while everything is rounded square or circle. The Pressure dial looks like a Wear OS Tile from the Fitbit app. Also tapping your profile avatar in the account menu lets you change Temperature units and Theme. Light (above) and Dark (below) determine the card background, while the System default is available.

Meanwhile, the Google app is also getting some sort of upgrade with the feature of “Weather map” with radar being a top feature request since the Google Weather redesign last year, also there will be “AI Weather Summaries” become available on this app. The reviews also states that the Pixel Weather is nice as how it comes with AI weather Summaries in it and the Weather map. The Pixel Weather from APK Mirror soon will be available on other Pixel devices via Play Store as an update to the existing service that provides weather in the Google Clock app.
