Google’s Gemini now flashes its new AI-powered model, the Gemini 1.5 Flash AI Model on the web and apps, it was powered by the Gemini 1.0 Pro large language model (LLM). Notably, the new model is faster and more efficient as compared to its predecessor.

Although the Gemini 1.5 Flash increases the context window of the chatbot from the previous 8,000 tokens to 32,000 tokens, the upgraded context windows make Gemini capable of handling more complex queries and adding more context to its generated responses.

The announcement was first made during the Google I/O event in May, stating the Google 1.5 Flash is going to be a lightweight model that was distilled from the Gemini 1.5 Pro, moreover, the company also highlighted that the Flash model will lead to offer speed and reduced the input and output processing costs. 

Therefore, the new AI model will become cheaper to run for Google. An interesting fact is that the new AI model will be available in 40 languages in 230 countries, and can be accessed on both the web portal and the mobile app.

Additionally, Gemini AI now shows additional information on topics within the generated responses. Gemini in Google messages also rolling out in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, and Switzerland. The select devices will support all the 40 languages that have been added recently with the Gemini 1.5 Flash update.
