WhatsApp Business does not have Meta AI interface directly. WhatsApp Business is mainly centered more or less on offering solutions for SMBs in their communication with clients through messaging.

In Meta’s larger environment, which comprises Facebook and Instagram, Meta AI technologies are generally more predisposed to user targeting or serving propositions like advertisements, content suggestions, or AI engagements shared within those networks.

As such, WhatsApp Business, although incorporated into Meta (through the earlier Facebook name), does not directly leverage the Meta AI options in the same manner as other Meta platforms.

What are the features we can expect in WhatsApp Business if it receives Meta AI?

Looking at the areas where Meta AI could be implemented in WhatsApp Business, if this product existed, here are several enhancements that could be made. Here are some possibilities:

  • Automated Customer Support: The moderate level interventions included using automated bots such as AI chatbots for routine answering of customers’ questions, immediate responses to inquiries that can be responded to in an instant and passing complex issues to live agents. These bots could leverage on NLP to enable them respond to various questions that a customer would present.

  • Personalized Messaging: This could be used by the AI to understand the customers and the experiences the have had and therefore come up with communications, special offers and recommendations and suggestions that are keyed to their liking. This could increase adoption of better ICT practices that increase relevance of communicated information, to customers.

  • Predictive Analytics: AI capability could also help to analyze previous conversation and customers’ behaviors to forecast future demand so that businesses could prepare for any contingencies or have promotional offers.

  • Language Translation: AI based translation applications may assist businesses in being able to converse with consumers in a number of languages, hence facilitating the rapport between language.

  • Advanced Search and Recommendations: AI may improve the interaction with matrices used within conversations and recommend products or services according to customer experience and satisfaction.

  • Visual Recognition: If incorporated to AI image recognition, the companies can possibly interpret images posted by customers or sort visual content on their own.

These might in fact bring a lot of value to the currently existing WhatsApp Business bringing it to a new level in terms of power and usage for engaging with customers and managing business processes.
