Gemini

Google has renamed its Bard to Gemini and has shown more focus in the field of Artificial intelligence for the past few years. Google made its move earlier to make Gemini as an Assistant but that didn’t come out as well as planned by Google. But now it has been reported that Google will enable Gemini as a default assistant on the upcoming Pixel mobiles. Google Gemini will almost replace every voice assistance service shortly.

Some Assistant features such as alarms do not exist natively in Gemini; others like the Broadcast button on Google Home actively fail. Still, the situation could worsen soon because the reputable Google app researcher and tipster @AssembleDebug on X formerly Twitter discovered a new Gemini feature in the latest Google app beta Android Authority.

Gemini could set to Expand Google Assistant Alarm and Timer Features

Until now, Google has leaned on Assistant to set alarms and timers, even if issued through Gemini. But the tipster claims that the beta version is 15. undefined The 33 version of the Google app incorporates a new Clock extension through which Gemini will be able to set alarms and timers without using any assistant application in the background. He also posted some screenshots of the app after he was able to activate the extension and stated that in the stable version of Gemini Extensions, there will be a Clock Tool toggle available on the menu.

Analyzing the screenshots posted online, it can be seen that this feature is going to have its menu page that will contain a master on/off switch and a section with sub-toggles including the Clock Tool, Flights, Hotels, Maps, Workspace, YouTube, and YouTube Music.

It seems that the availability of those extensions is based on the absence of information that would require the lock screen authorization. Along with the rumored Gemini Live functionality, it seems that Gemini is going down almost every Google software release — releasing a half-baked utility and only then adding features from the superseded service to fill in the gaps as if they are new additions.
