Samsung has officially introduced its new TWS headphones – Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro – during the Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris today. These new TWS earphones come alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Ring, and the Galaxy Watch 7 series. The most notable addition of the Buds 3 series is the Galaxy AI where there are many new additions.
Technical features of the Buds 3 series
- An 11mm dynamic driver with ultra-high quality audio of 24-bit Hi-Fi and 360 Audio with Direct Multi-Channel.
- Three microphones, VPU (voice pickup unit), support SSC(Samsung Seamless Codec) Hi-Fi, SSC UHQ (Samsung Proprietary) AAC, and SBC codecs are present.
- Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and is only compatible with Android 10 and above with over 1.5 GB RAM
- ANC support and an IP57 rating.
Stem design structure for the Galaxy Buds 3 series
Some of the notable enhancements here include; a new design, a two-way speaker system, AI integration for noise cancellation as well and smart features. The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro design is a ‘Canal Type’ and features improved two-way speakers with planar tweeters and dual amplifiers for UHQ Audio with doubled sampling rates using the SSC codec A new Machine Learning model shall restore the original sound of the speaker’s voice in different scenarios to improve call quality.
Enhanced Battery feature
The standard Galaxy Buds 3 carries a 48mAh battery in each earbud and a 515mAh battery in the charging case and supports 24 hours of playback with ANC on and 30 hours with ANC off. The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro has a slightly larger battery of 53mAh in each earbud and the same 515mAh in the charging case and has up to 26 hours of playback time with ANC turned on and up to 30 hours with ANC turned off.
The most efficient – Noise-cancellation feature
Galaxy Buds 3 Pro offers ANC, Ambient mode, and Voice Detection features. The new Blade Lights was developed to enable users to interact with the device using gestures based on pinching or swiping on the blade.
AI features for the newest Galaxy Buds
Galaxy AI offers new methods of interacting with the environment, for instance, the Interpreter in Listening Mode, which translates lectures in real-time. Voice commands allow controlling the playback of music without having to touch the screen. The microphones also capture internal and external sounds to enhance sound and ANC via Adaptive EQ and Adaptive ANC. The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro has ANC that can self-adjust the level of noise and sound depending on the user’s environment.
