It was noted that the prominent manufacturer of Apple/iPhone products, Foxconn had reportedly implemented a policy according to which married women are getting rejected from employment opportunities to work at their company.

According to the Telecom.com blog, This policy signifies that the women employees working there have to leave their jobs shortly after marriage, its main purpose is to affect the long-term workforce stability.

Being a controversial topic this issue has gained a lot of attention, according to this implication of policy ‘gender equality and fair employment’ well brought up as a providential societal issue that cannot be unseen.

They state that their hiring decisions for jobs in their company will based on merit and skills which are some of the major key points an employee’s ability shows, and they should not be discriminated against based on their marital status or gender.

In addition to this, the company has also emphasized its commitment to providing fair and equal job opportunities not only for women who are married or not but all those applicants who are capable and hold the required skills will not be rejected, regardless of any personal characteristics.
