Apple Intelligence AI Privacy

Apple Intelligence was unveiled for many devices among which are the iPhones, iPads, and Macs during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024. Another report also pointed out that the AI set of features may also be included in the Apple Vision Pro, the upcoming mixed-reality headset of the company.

However, some Home devices like HomePod and Apple TV will not get any form of AI enhancement shortly. A new report reveals that the company is working on a new table-top robotic device, which may be the first home apparatus equipped with Apple Intelligence.

As reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletter, Apple has “no immediate plan to add AI capabilities to HomePods or Apple TVs.” However, the first home device by the company to incorporate Apple Intelligence will be a device that is claimed to be in the works at the moment.

It was first introduced by Gurman in an early April report where he described it would be “an advanced table-top home device that uses robotics to move a display around. ” The concept behind the device is said to incorporate a display that swings like the head of the user during a FaceTime call.

Apple Intelligence

Apple Intelligence is a personal assistant suite of Artificial Intelligence that will contain generative models alongside users’ context to offer optimal value creation. Others include writing assistance, the capability to create images directly from the device, and personalized and natural Siri among others.

It is also said that the device can focus on one person standing in front of it during video conferencing. It is still uncertain what AI features can be incorporated into this device.

A week ago, a report pointed to the fact that Apple intends to bring a new version of HomePod with a built-in touch screen mounted on it.

Mark Gurman also says Apple will launch subscription services for Apple Intelligence starting in the fall next year 2024. This can be Apple Intelligence+ for the services and the capabilities being offered must be purchased separately from the main package.
