WhatsApp calls have now supported an upgraded feature of ‘Live Translation’. This AI feature is reported to be powered by Galaxy AI via One UI 6.1.1, recently it was announced that Samsung’s latest launched Live Translate feature will support third-party applications.

With a widespread view on social media platforms and according to recent claims, the collection of Samsung’s smartphones via Galaxy AI is considered as compatible with the capabilities of language translation.

It was reported that this AI feature will be announced in January and the development confirms it will be available, and can be used freely until 2025.

With the latest information provided, the Galaxy AI will be responsible for bringing support to WhatsApp calls and offering a real-time language translation, it was stated that this feature of Samsung may work on a variety of selected Galaxy smartphones and was reported to arrive via One 6.1.1 update version.

Samsung gives a brief confirmation on the point that this feature of Galaxy AI would enable third-party application support.

According to Post on X that strongly matches the recent information, Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event which is scheduled to take place on the 10th of July in Paris is going to showcase the announcement of Samsung’s latest feature and will debut One UI 6.1.1 update for its Galaxy smartphones.

This update is going to arrive with the latest model of Samsung Smartphones, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 smartphones which are expected to be launched at the event.

The confirmation of the updated AI feature and the latest launch of these Samsung Galaxy smartphones exists with a marketing image that surfaced online in June. 

This updated feature of Live Translate will work through online processing on Samsung’s smartphones, and it was claimed that the data is no longer sent through the server instead it is going to be stored locally on the user’s devices.

However, the third-party apps have not been fully revealed by the South Korean tech giant. Its feature would support the apps, such as Telegram and Google Maps included in the list.

As per the the report, according to Won-joon Choi the Executive Vice President and Head of Mobile R and D Office for Samsung’s mobile experience business, it was stated that the Galaxy AI on foldable smartphones will ‘unlock all new possibilities’.

In addition to this, the Live Translate AI will also include a variety of other features, including Chat Assist, Entrepreneur Mode, Circle Summarisation, Note Assist, and Transcript Assist.
