Apple has been developing AI-enabled features and made a statement that Apple Intelligence (AI) will be added to iPhones, iPads, and Macs. The firm is said to have rejected Meta’s Llama models for iPhones because these do not deem Meta’s privacy measures sufficient.
Apple is investing in AI as much as it can, even so, Apple is quite aggressive about security on its devices. Recently, people have found out that Google is developing Circle to Search with a new feature including barcode and QR code scanning in the Google app v15. This will enable Circle to Search to have other roles apart from just recognizing images on the screen. Circle to Search was initially launched with the Galaxy S24 series but was later rolled out to many Samsung phones, tablets, and Google Pixels.
QR and barcode scan support in Circle to Search was found in the Google app version 15. The feature was manually activated with version 15. undefined undefined When activated, instead of merely searching for other barcodes in Google, a barcode appears on the screen. Once the code is scanned, there will be a chip beside it containing a URL or a preview of it.
When the ‘Circle to Search’ function is used to search for a QR or barcode, it leads to a simple search results page that lists other seemingly similar codes. It is already possible to scan barcodes or QR codes using Google Lens, so their integration into Circle to Search is not a shock.
