Google launched Circle to Search feature for Android smartphones this year, and Galaxy S24 Ultra came with this feature and became a first device to get this feature after it has subsequently rolled out to other devices. Since then it has become common to use the extension to google search for information on the go.
Circle to Search could soon get an audio upgrade
As shared in a post by @AssembleDebug on X/Twitter the latest beta of the Google app (the app that brings Circle to Search on Samsung devices) has a new button with an audio tune icon to the right of the one for translating text on the screen as illustrated in the screenshot below. This button is not visible initially and the app researcher had to enable it on the app manually.
The Galaxy S24 series introduced the Galaxy AI, which is a set of features that can be useful in the actual usage of the phone. Circle to Search or CtS is one of the significant components of the Galaxy AI currently offered by Google. This one lets you search about anything on the screen just by drawing a circle around it.
To date, it remains unclear if Google will ever issue the audio update of Circle to Search. It may also be safe to assume that the feature could get axed in the coming few weeks, until an official word from the company.
But it appears that there are a host of other changes lined up for Google’s Circle to Search. One of which also describes that the company will soon give Pixel tab users the option to enable the feature by tapping the action key.
The new feature will be useful for those who own a Samsung phone or tablet to identify a song or search for information about a popular audio fragment. Perhaps, we will be able to learn more details about it in the next beta version of the Google app to activate the button’s options.
