Qualcomm, the world’s largest chip maker, has unveiled the next SoC in the Gen 6 series. Recently, Qualcomm has introduced the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC which is made using 6nm processing technology and the chip supports 5G. It is for mid-rangers it has Kyro cores and its GPU is Adreno. Motorola G85 is expected to be the first smartphone that will incorporate the said chipset.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 Specifications
- It is an octa-core SoC built with 6nm process technology.
- Uses Kryo cores that can operate at up to 2. 3 GHz max frequency, and like other ‘s’ SoCs, the 6s Gen 3 incorporates an AI engine that can be utilized for several on-chip AI processes.
- LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 2. 2 storage, and Quick Charge 4+ support make sure it gets fit for multitasking and rapid charging.
- Has support for Full HD+ 120Hz displays and the X51 5G modem has download speeds of up to 2. 5 Gbps.
- Bluetooth is integrated through Qualcomm’s FastConnect 6200 with support for Bluetooth 5. 2, and Wi-Fi 5 802. 11 a/ac support.
Multi-camera features
- The Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 integrates Spectra triple ISP for multi-camera photo and video capture along with AI-assisted low-light photography.
- It can handle up to 108 MP camera for clicking and 720p video recording at 120 fps.

Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 supports LPDDR4x memory up to 2133 MHz UFS 2. 2 storage, Quick Charge 4+ for charging. Motorola will be the first OEM that will use this octa-core Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 in its next smartphone, Moto G85 5G.
