New business solutions for WhatsApp were announced by Meta at its annual conference in Brazil on Thursday. According to the company, these updates enable businesses to better communicate with customers and improve their efficiency.
Currently, Meta-owned WhatsApp is experimenting with new artificial intelligence (AI) features for small businesses to help consumers in India and Singapore. The move is intended to strengthen the company’s attempts to monetize messaging apps as separate business segments, according to analysts.
Meta WhatsApp Business Gets AI Tools
Meta stated that AI helps businesses on WhatsApp to serve customers and introduce new products that they might find interesting. Employers are using AI to answer the most common questions that businesses receive on WhatsApp, so customers can easily get the information they need. It is not surprising that Meta invested more in WhatsApp Business since the platform is already widely used for customer services.
However, a study conducted by What’s Big Data by the end of the year 2023 showed that more than 50 million firms adopted WhatsApp Business; the messaging app could increase sales by 127% and customer service by 225%.
New Ways For Businesses Through WhatsApp
Regarding the new artificial intelligence tools, Meta will allow business firms to switch on artificial intelligence in conversations with customers to assist in selling their products and services. The idea is to have an AI assistant within the WhatsApp Business app to assist with things like creating a Facebook or instagram ad that links to start a WhatsApp chat or to get assistance with using features such as a catalogue or quick replies. Meta is also using AI for ad creation on Facebook and Instagram, informing the customer that they left an item in the cart or providing a coupon for the product they have been eyeing to buy.
