The artificial intelligence startup formerly funded by Elon Musk, AI, is said to be working on a trial for an independent iOS application for the Grok chatbot. For the time being, it is in beta version in Australia and some other countries.
Users in these countries can download the application to get X data from the web in real-time and AI generative elements such as rewriting sentences/paragraphs, summarizing long paragraphs, questioning answers, and image generation from text descriptions.
Grok AI is Under Testing for iOS Standalone App
The iOS beta app is said to be able to give a user internet and X data. Moreover, it has all the generative AI options, including text rewriting, summarization of prolonged paragraphs, question and answer sessions, and image generation based on text.
Elon Musk now appears to be gearing up for an assault on OpenAI (last estimated at $157 billion) as the artificial intelligence firm he co-founded—xAI—has started to roll out a standalone app for the Grok AI chatbot on iPhones only.
As a new emerging competitor in the AI chatbot market, Grok has just launched the beta version of the Grok iOS app only in Australia and several other countries. This comes barely a week after XAI launched the latest version of the Grok chatterbot, which is available for all users of the social media platform X.
Grok Chatbot Web Version
Apart from a solo iOS application, xAl is developing a web Grok as “Grok.com”, a step towards opening up its user access. However, the launching of the actual iOS and the web model is still undetermined for the next release.
Also, it has not given any indication whether users will get an Android app on the AI chatbot. On this, we might have to wait a little longer until the company comes out in public on their plans to develop Grok to be more open.
