Gemini, the new Hangouts app, has received a new clean, minimal home screen on Android this week from Google. This new update eliminates most of the spam of the previous design, giving full attention to the new simple user-friendly interface. Gemini homescreen android gets minimal design to better use.
A report by 9to5Google revealed that Android’s Gemini app has been updated and comes with a stripped-down home screen—the new update shifts from the previous design to a simpler one. A new UI layout has been developed, to consider user experience.
Before this, there has been the ‘Gemini Advanced’ logo at the top other than a few suggestions, and the ‘Chats & Gems’ tabs list. However, the new home screen only has this greeting “Hello, [user name].” It now also includes a message bubble on the upper left corner with Recent Conversations + Gems accessible. However, the features could be noticed at the bottom of the webpage being an unaltered chat box.
You can see that the layout of the new Gemini app interface is inspired by the search’s homepage to some extent. If you desire to use a new version of Gemini then you simply need to upgrade the application in your Android application. The new design appears to be a gradual process, it may not be deployed in all areas at once.
Addition of Gems in Gemini Mobile App
One of the usual enhancements of this update is Gems on mobile, which was formerly available to the web only. Now users can look for “Gems” in the application, in the section called “Chats & Gems.” There is also now a “Gem manager” in the avatar menu, which allows for easy switching between various kinds of saved items. All Gems can be accessed by the users or individual Gems developed by Google can be viewed.
Gems in Gemini is where you can write a script into the system for a one-and-only kind of task. Interestingly, they can “recall a string of actions to assist you in avoiding repetitious, time-consuming or complex tasks”. Google currently has five basic ready-made Gems such as the Learning Coach, Brain stormer, Career Guide, and Writing Editor.
