A California-based startup is DreamFlare AI, which is launching from stealth on Tuesday to assist those who create content with creating and profiting from short clips created with the help of artificial intelligence.
The California-based company founded by Joshua Liss, a former Google specialist, and Rob Bralver, a documentary filmmaker, does not produce and offer its software to generate video with the help of artificial intelligence. Instead, it is designed as a workshop where users collaborate with other professionals who tell stories to create a video with the help of third-party services such as Runway, Midjourney, ElevenLabs, and others.
DreamFlare will offer two types of animated content on the platform: Flips are comic book-like stories in the format of short AI-powered video and image sequences where viewers can swipe through them and Spin are interactive live-action short films where the audience determines specific events that take place in the movie.
Liss departed from Google in March earlier the previous year to venture into DreamFlare alongside documentary filmmaker Robert Bralver. He has prior experience managing a team of employees that was focused on Google’s Android Business Messages which is an AI-based conversational commerce application.
DreamFlare Over AI Filmmaking
It is relevant to state here that the Creators of DreamFlare can use any existing AI tool that provides paid subscription plans, but such tools raise several ethical and legal concerns. The website clearly states that DreamFlare checks all submissions to guarantee that they are not based on copyrighted content, and the website does not support mature content or content containing restricted content. When published content does not follow these standards, the platform has a DMCA takedown notice for anyone who feels their copyrights were violated.
