OpenAI said it has extended the capabilities of ChatGPT to support numerous coding and note-taking applications in the MacOS environment. That means the users are able to communicate with one another more effectively via voice or text, and as a result, create fluent business processes, particularly when it comes to coding, writing, or content production.
ChatGPT Work with Apps on macOS
These are among the future features of ChatGPT, as an open-sourced tool for professionals across fields ranging from coding, and project management to writing. For the eleventh of the “12 days of OpenAI” event, the focus of the progress shifted from the physical landline phone to your computer, specifically macOS. Spinning through the sleek concept, the OpenAI CPO Kevin Weil provided a brief on how Mac owners will find the ChatGPT desktop app hovering on their workspace as a companion.
Some of the enhancements include enhanced voice command capabilities. The feature helps people to interact with ChatGPT by speaking into their device and letting the AI help users dictate through different applications that the user can use with their voices. OpenAI believes that this could make activities such as writing computer codes or taking notes less cumbersome.
How to use ChatGPT in Apple Notes on MacOS?
- Download, install, and open Apple Notes on your Macbook/iMac/Mac Mini.
- When you want to share a note with ChatGPT to read out loud, open this note.
- To open the ChatGPT bar on the screen press option + shift + 1 key.
- Now it is possible to type and ask about the text on the screen or, conversely, activate the extended voice mode. Concerning the actual usage, there is an enhanced voice mode with which you can speak to ChatGPT and ask it for a recommendation.
In addition to this, the new support for macOS has also been integrated into other third-party applications such as Notion, Quip, BBEdit, and App Code. Third-party app integration on macOS is, however, a Pro, Plus, Enterprise, and Edu feature of ChatGPT. This brings the number of coding applications supported by ChatGPT’s macOS to 12 apps.
