ChatGPT 2024 Update Roadmap

April 2024 Update

Memory is now available for all the ChatGPT Plus users except in Europe and Korea, where it will be released soon. Using Memory is easy: You simply have to open a new chat and say whatever you want ChatGPT to know. Memory can be enabled or disabled in settings. Organizations, Enterprises, and GPTs to come.

February 2024 Update

ChatGPT is being used to test memory. This way of storing information helps avoid having to repeat the same information in all the chats and makes future chats more productive. Now you can directly tell ChatGPT to remember something, ask it what it has stored, and tell it to forget in a conversational manner or through options. You can also disable it completely.

A limited number of ChatGPT are free and are released to users in the first week of February to see how valuable it is.

What are the features that the February 2024 update brings in?

  • For discussions that do not need to be saved, make use of the temporary chat – If you want to chat without memorizing anything, you can use the temporary chat. Temporary chats will not be stored in the history, will not occupy memory, and will not be used to train models.
  • Enhancing our privacy and safety policies – Memory introduces other privacy and security concerns such as what information should be stored and how it will be utilized.
  • GPTs will have memory – GPTs will have their unique memory. Constructors will have the possibility to turn on memory for their GPTs. Just like your chats, your memories are not shown to builders.
  • Team and Enterprise customers can be more productive – For Enterprise and Team users, memory can be helpful when using ChatGPT at work. It could adapt to your personality and tastes, and further enhance the conversation based on your previous conversations.
  • Continuing the development of our privacy and safety policies – Memory also introduces other privacy and security concerns, for instance, what information should be stored and how it should be utilized. We are actively working on identifying and reducing biases and preventing ChatGPT from purposefully storing personal information such as your medical history, even though it can be retrieved if needed.

January 2024 Update

A new ChatGPT plan was introduced for teams of all types and sizes to help users get the most out of ChatGPT in the workplace with a secure and collaborative environment. The ChatGPT Team provides users with access to newer models such as GPT-4 and DALL·E 3 and tools like Advanced Data Analysis. It also has a team collaboration area and administrative features for managing your team. Like ChatGPT Enterprise, the data belongs to you, and you control it; we do not train on your business data or conversations, and our models do not learn from your usage.
