Google Pixel 9

Google is all set to present Gemini Nano Pixel 8, which may appear with Android 14 QPR3. Google rolled out its super-language AI model Gemini Nano in the Pixel 8 Pro last year and this year the company rolled out the Gemini Nano version in the Galaxy S24. Now Google has confirmed that it is now ready to launch this AI feature in Pixel 8.

Gemini Nano Pixel 8

Gemini Nano may be coming to Pixel 8 with the next Pixel feature drop which may be rolled out in Android 14 QPR3 exploration. Google has also informed that Pixel 8 can get the facility of using two features via Gemini Nano.

The Gemini Nano on the Pixel 8 no longer needs to send data to the server to summarise recorded content on the recorder app; It will understand and summarise the content locally. While it will power the Gboard Smart Reply tool, this tool relies on Conversations during its text or voice messaging and this feature works on WhatsApp line and Kakao Talk in Pixel 8 pro.

Although Google launched the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro in October last year, the company has given Gemini Nano in Pixel 8 but not in Pixel 8 Pro, which explains that despite both having the same chipset Tensor G3, there are hardware limitations so Pixel 8 cannot operate this AI model properly. Additionally, developers with Pixel 8 will be able to use AICore for their applications.
