The Oppo Reno 12 5G series will be released in India later this month. The products include the Oppo Reno 12 5G and the Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G. These phones were first introduced in China in May and later in the global market last month.
The company has now revealed the India launch date of the handsets. It has also shown the design of the Reno 12 series and established the color versions and significant aspects of both of them.
They will come as the successors of the Oppo Reno 11 5G series that was launched in the country early this year in January.
Oppo Reno 12 Series Major Revelations
The Oppo Reno 12 series smartphone will have die-cast aluminium alloy frames and it is IP65 water and dust resistant. This range of smartphones will be equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery and accompanied by an 80W fast charger.
The Indian variants of the Oppo Reno 12 5G series phones also look almost identical to the Chinese and global models. Triple rear camera units are aligned vertically and are positioned in a somewhat raised rectangular camera bump in the top-left corner. They are also seen with glossy finishes on the handsets.
Oppo Reno 12 Series Specifications
The Oppo Reno 12 5G Series will come with a 6. 67 inches Full HD plus Super AMOLED display with a 120-hertz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 1200 nits. Both smartphones support up to 1200 nits peak brightness with Gorilla Glass 7i and Victus 2 protection.
The Oppo Reno 12 series smartphone will feature die-cast aluminum alloy frames and will feature an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance.
In the realm of photography, both handsets in the Oppo Reno 12 5G series will come with a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS and an 8-megapixel camera with an ultra-wide lens. The vanilla model will have a 2-megapixel macro shooter as the third sensor, while the Pro version will have a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom as well as up to 20x digital zoom.
The smartphones in the series will have a 5000 mAh battery capacity, accompanied by 80W fast wired charging.
Oppo Reno 12 Series AI Features
Both smartphones will feature imaging capabilities that will be driven by artificial intelligence. These will include blink detection, auto frame adjustment to remove people who walked into the frame, and background replacement. Apart from imaging, others are voice-to-text and voice summarization.
