Gemini, the personal assistant app, is moving to the UK and Europe to help people write thank-you notes, look for ideas for meals, and give advice on practical matters such as changing a flat tire. The Gemini app is compatible with Android and iOS devices and offers a broad spectrum of assistant functions.
Google I/O 2024 announcement
During I/O 2024, Google announced that it would release Gemini Extensions for Calendar, Keep, Tasks, and Utilities in the coming months. This comes after the integration of YouTube Music. Last month, Google also showed Gemini Live and other features that can be expected to appear in Android soon.
Major features coming to the users
- Users can give feedback concerning the app through the mentioned channels.
- Its accessibility differs depending on the chosen language, the device, the type of account, and the geographic location.
- What is more, on Android Gemini can be set as the default assist application replacing Google Assistant in most cases.
- This requires a personal Google Account or a Google Workspace account with enabled access to Gemini Apps and Google Assistant.
- Not available for accounts that are less than 18 years old.
- Through the device settings make sure the Google app is the default assist app.
