The testing of the Al software began a few days after Apple unveiled its newest mobile operating system known as iOS 18 for all its earlier iPhone models.

After users download the iOS 18.1 upgrade, which is often clumsy, the virtual assistant Siri is programmed to become more chatty, diverse, and Alive and shines – with pulsating light that ingrains on the iPhone and circles around when it is responding to the command.

While Apple is assuring customers that the new software version will make Siri do more things and will not get lost as often, the assistant will not be able to engage with other applications that are currently loaded on the iPhone until Apple puts out another software update for which it has not specified a date yet.

Major focus on AI features

The software update highlights the integration of AI into writing proofreading, and summarizing emails and documents. It also contains photo editing features and has features for making the search for old pictures easy. However, it is not part of this update and only some functionalities such as making a new emoji set or generating imagery on demand are missing.

Apple intends to incorporate OpenAI’s ChatGPT into its list of AIs it uses as a support system when required in the future. Aside from the latest iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Max, iPhone 15 Pro and even iPhone 15 Pro Max released in the previous year will also have these AI features because of their special computer chips.
