Apple is expected to reveal the highly discussed Apple Intelligence in October under iOS 18.1. Currently, it is only available in US English, but Apple has set a goal to add more languages in the following year to embrace the new features powered by Artificial Intelligence.
Starting from iOS 18, they already exist in a still rudimentary way. One developer beta will be released to numerous users around the world, while iPhones’ availability will skyrocket with the help of the facility. Apple fans will see Widened Language Support in 2025.
Apple Intelligence Will be Available in These Additional 7 Languages
Apple recently announced that the next version of its Apple Intelligence will be available in languages other than English (India), English (Singapore), German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, and Vietnamese.
Nonetheless, using Apple Intelligence, it will be available in at most six iPhones. This includes The iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the newly introduced iPhone 16 models. At this moment, Apple Intelligence is available as part of the developer beta for the 18th release of iOS 18.1.
iPhone to exclude European countries
However, there will not be an Apple Intelligence for iPhone and iPad users in the European Union countries. This is due to the emergence of the new supertanker called the Digital Markets Act. Consequently, AI will run only on the Macs with the M1 chip or any of the newer versions in Europe. Apple is in discussion with the EC to deal with this shortcoming at the moment.
Apple’s expansion is in line with the aim of the company to make the AI tools company offers accessible to more people in the world. The company will later this year however improve the rollout by introducing Chinese, French, Japanese, and Spanish languages.
Primarily, U.S. English will be the first wave of language support for Apple Intelligence starting in October of 2024. Moreover, in December more variants of English, Australian, Canadian, New Zealand, South African, and UK English are to be added.
