The further development of Gemini as a search tool goes on and new features with high utility values are integrated. In the past few months, the assistant has been receiving new extensions that enable it to operate within more and more applications.
Gemini brings Tasks and Keep Extensions on the web
Now, Google is extending the Keep and Tasks Extensions support to the web client of Gemini. The extensions feature is however free and as such, anyone can use them regardless of their subscription plan with Gemini Advanced.
Said officially and for the first time, in the Pixel 9 series, Google introduced the Keep and Task extensions for Gemini. As with other extensions, they allow you to use the apps’ primary functions with the help of the AI voice assistant. Therefore, on Keep, you can apply notes, modify or add them, or even search for something within the note.
Similarly from the Tasks, one can have the ability to create new tasks and reminders, edit the existing ones, or even just view them. On phones, both these extensions are available in the main range of Google Workspace.
However, the Gemini users on browsers will be able to gain the power of both Keep and Tasks extensions from now on. Not surprisingly, Google again offers a range of basic questions within which to set up your first steps. About Keep, if you would like to add some new notes, you can join commands such as “Create the note with [note’s name]” or “Create the list with [elements 1, elements 2, …]. ”
If you want to activate the extension, there is a button on the extension that one has to click and for that, one has to open Gemini on the browser. When on the webpage, the users have to click on the settings icon placed at the bottom of the page on the left.
From there, users can tap on Extensions, scroll down to the Google Workspace option, and turn it on. However, the extension will only operate when the user has previously signed into his or her Google Workspace ID on the browser.
In order to use the extension, the users have to launch Gemini on the browser. When on the webpage, they will be required to open the setting on the webpage, which is in the bottom left part – a small gear-like icon.
