Snapchat begins to brave the new world of artificial intelligence and augmented reality this year during the sixth annual Snap Partner Summit. These updates, as well as the fifth generation of Spectacles—standalone augmented reality glasses entailing SnapOS, the company’s new operating system—were announced in the course of the sixth annual Snap Partner Summit on September 17.
Snap OS and Spectacles
Snap has unveiled the fifth generation of stand-alone AR glasses known as Spectacles. These see-through glasses operate on the new SnapOS, allowing people to interface naturally with their environment.
Real-time navigation is also possible through hand gestures and voice commands on the new system. It meant that the newly appeared Spectacles powered by SnapOS is proven to employ Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCoS) micro-projectors with waveguides to provide the sharpest visuals in both indoor and outdoor conditions.
AI tools and AR filters
A new artificial intelligence tool called Easy Lens is a tool that allows the creation of new Lenses just by typing in a prompt. Advertisers can construct their individual augmented reality (AR) Lenses by touching base with the enhanced Lens Studio of Snapchat.
Snap Star Collab Studio was previously used to improve collaborations between the creators and the brands, and this has been revamped to optimize this cause. Industry voices can now upload new self-serve engagement and demographic information through ad partners, thus enhancing brand partnership monetization.
To extend its support to the creators, Snapchat has recently formulated a new profile section through which one can easily switch between one’s private and business accounts. There will be improvements in features like pinned snaps, template fills, and photo/video replies that will enable the creators to better connect with the followers.
