Google is planning to bring its most popular feature ‘Circle to Search‘ to more Android devices. Google has not released the API for this software on other devices except the latest Samsung Galaxy and new Pixel phones. Also, this feature will add more support to the recently released Tecno V Fold 2 model.
Circle to Search feature is finally coming to other Android phones
Circle to Search, which allows you to start a search based on an object on the screen, debuted on the Galaxy S24 and Pixel 8 And has since been slowly rolled out to other Galaxy and Pixel models. Well, it seems the feature is going to make its way on other Android devices except those belonging to Google or Samsung.
Several members of the tech press have been briefed by Chinese smartphone maker Tecno that Circle to Search will debut on the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 in the next month as reported by Android Authority.
Such a rollout plan is evidenced by the planned release of Circle to Search on Tecno’s new foldable phone. Even though Google has not made any official statement regarding the expansion of the feature, the partnership between Tecno and Google also proves these as true claims. The expectation is that this feature will soon roll out on the other top Android brands including Xiaomi, Vivo, OnePlus, and OPPO.
Nevertheless, Google has been developing the Circle to Search feature even though the latter option is not widely available. Lately, enhancements such as the ‘crop and share’ feature have been created where the users can crop the image and share it with third-party applications.
According to Android Authority, the Chinese smartphone producer Tecno has explained to several tech journalists that Circle to Search will be present in the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 in the following month.
It is not exactly an official launching of Google, but is virtually almost the same thing. But if you are using one made by OnePlus, Oppo, Xiaomi, Motorola, or any other Android phone maker then you may not have long to wait for Circle to Search.
